Where is the damn sunlight shrine?

So. I'm a sun bro since the moment i found the "emblem" in undead settlement. But i can't understand where can i use all my countless Sunlight emblems. I'm already at Lothric Castle and still no clue...Any tip?

There is a door near the elevators by the Dragonslayer Armor fog gate. You have to open it from the other side (go up the ladder on the right/back side of that building. It's in there.

Short answer: it's located much later in the game than where you find the Warrior of Sunlight Emblem.

Unless you want to kill a certain NPC very early on and feel like taking on a particularly interesting boss sooner rather than later, then open the path to the castle?

Where is the Sun bro covenant item?? I found the altar, even gave all the medallions I found, but don't have the item. :(

In Undead Settlement. There's a room behind a locked door near the big fire in the town. The entrance is on the floor above, you need to fall inside a small crack through the floor.

Sorry for the necro but I don't understand why in each following Souls game they pushed the Sunlight Altar later and later into the game. In Dark Souls 1 you can access it very quickly if you speed run to Taurus Demon and make it across the Hellkite Drake bridge or have the Master Key and come around the other way. Then in Dark Souls 2 it's past 2 bosses (Dragonrider and Skeleton Lords) and a dangerous area filled with poison, those dual wielding sickle guys, and large monsters that can shoot huge orbs of dark magic at you (but most can be avoid if you know what you're doing/where to go). Also getting to Skeleton Lords can be tricky (at least for a new or impatient player). Then in Dark Souls 3 if you don't fight Dancer of the Boreal Valley early then you have to go through a lot of the game before you can get to Lothric Castle and the Sunlight Altar. Why put the shrine for a covenant that is all about co-op so late into the game? I mean you CAN join the Sunbros somewhat early on in Dark Souls 3 with the covenant item you get in the Undead Settlement but what's the point if you have to wait a lot longer to get the rewards? Also I just remembered that you don't get the base lightning spear miracle until you loot it at an area above that marshy area with all those annoying Gru enemies (unless you can get it somewhere else sooner).
