Are Brigand Twindaggers as bad as they seem to me?
I mean, my bandit's knife does more damage at the same level and it's faster... I'd love to use the twindaggers but atm it's not worth it.
Any tip to make them useful?

Use the Pontiffs eye rings witht them and infuse them with bleeding. That helps tremendously.

I thought about infusing them with bleeding, but does bleeding stack per hit or per damage? because in the first case, yes, brigand's twindaggers could actually become useful
I'm a complete noob at the game so I don't know basically anything about it (even tho I played das1 and 2 too)

Bleed is a status effect that is applied with every hit, and does not scale with the damage the weapons do by themselves. So using Bleed on the twin daggers is extremely good. combined with the pontiffs eye rings they make for a very deadly, and surprisingly safe, weapon.

I should say that the scaling of the daggers gets hit by infusing, and their range is quite small, so they make for a better secondary weapon than a primary, since they are not useful in every situation.

I'm on my first NG+ and I roll primarily with +10 twindaggers infused with a blood gem. They have the highest bleed damage of all daggers when infused and they're pretty fast when mixing up the single and double dagger swings. Most bosses are susceptible to bleeding so while the daggers may seem like they have weak initial damage you can tear chunks off of a boss's health bar if you're good at reading their moves, dodging and sneaking in constant hits of your own. So far in NG+ I've taken out Vordt, Crystal Sage, Farron Legion, Old Demon King, Pontiff Sulyvahn, Alrdrich, and the Dancer with them. The fights with the cursed tree, Deacons of the Deep, Wolfnir, and Yhorm don't benefit from bleed so I switched them out on those. Tried it once on the Nameless king, I took out the dragon easily enough but after getting the king down to a fourth of his health he got the better of me.

Quickstep the real MVP.

I tried for an entire playthrough to make them work.

Dex? ♥♥♥♥ scaling.
Bleed + Dex? ♥♥♥♥ damage.
Bleed + Luck? Still ♥♥♥♥ damage.
Refined + Str + Dex? Low damage
Hollow + Luck + Elemental Buff? Okay damage for a limited time, at the cost of several Quicksteps.

Straight sword can mash through Dagger's R1 on hit. After two successful hits from a dagger, a straight sword will trade with the third hit, and outspeed you if you contrinue to try to attack.
Same applies to rapiers and anything with hyper armour.

Damage is a major issue overall for daggers, as the heavy focus on flat damage reduction rather than % reduction means that low damage/high speed weapons like daggers suffer. Every character is capable of high flat damage reduction as it increases with your Soul Level and is multiplied by any armour you have equipped, and it's multiplied by the same amount no matter what armour it is.

The L1's are incredibly slow for the pathetic range, and don't increase your damage by much. Straight Swords can't mash through it though, so there's that. So if you're fighting a complete and utter moron, you probably won't die quite as fast as you would if you were using other daggers.

They are a compelte waste of time, and as determined as I was to use dual daggers on my dual dagger character, I've given up. They do not function. They are bad.

The only thing daggers are good at is backstabbing people who are using slow weapons by using quickstep. Brigand Twindaggers have low AR and low critical damage, and all daggers are outclassed by Thrall Axe anyway.

I am currently using brigand twindaggers. So far I´ve only had the need for one or two tries on every boss ( just killed the consumed one). My daggers are only +7 so far.
I don´t really want to infuse them though, because even with the added scaling, it does less damage.
I´ve come to the conclusion that it´s better to just use Carthus Rogue of the added bleed effect. that way you dont loose dmg. also with both the pontiff eye rings it´s really good. on some bosses you can manage to get in 6-7 hits before the boss might hit you back. And on High lord Wolfnir it was extremly easy, killed him in 20 seconds. Only because i could hit him so fast with L1. Also, pontiff left eye procs after only 4 L1 attacks. And so far that is the lowest number of hits i´ve seen on that ring before it procs.
So in my opinion it´s an excellent weapon.
