Change appearance and respec points

Fellow Souls!

I am currently fairly early in the game (9 hours in at the second boss) Been playing with friends, made an weird looking character.
I know you can respec your character and change the appearance later in the game.
By joining Rosario's covenant and give her an item called pale tongue(s). Up to five times per game. There are several guides on how to do that.
Few questions about that:

- Does one respec require 5 pale tongues or 1?
- Can you change appearance AND respec points with 1 of the 5 times?
Or will it cost you 1 time for the point respec and 1 for the appearance, leaving you with 3 more times you can respec / change appearance?
- Is changing appearance worth the pale tongue's? I'm playing as a knight, currently wearing a helmet. You can't even see his face. When that is the case throughout the entire game, i will not bother to change appearance using precious pale tongue's.

My predicament know is will i continue with the character that i have created (with pony tails and mustache :)) Or replay my progress so far with a more serious looking character?

respeccing counts towards the 5 uses Not changing what you look like (pretty sure)
it takes 1 tongue
is it worth it? yea right outside the covenant you get red soap stone so just duel people till you get one, its a common dueling area at the covenant

Aah thanks casul, yeah i read something about that. Mmh, makes me wonder..think i am going to start over again.
Don't know how far into the game you'll reach Rosaria's Fingers. But my ocd sort of demands my own character haha

Sadly you can't change your name :C...
Also keep in mind that if you chose deprived (they wear that thong thing) if you change your appearance your character gets a pair of white underpants that look terrible on female characters.

It's "terrible" to find every single item and explore every single part of each area before moving on? Sure thing. I bet you haven't even beaten the game in the time you stated on your first time.

some peole like slow aproach to game just like me .i clocked like 12 hours till i clear undead settlement completly.doing invasions and helping others i also progress solo rather so thats that.

Taking Dark Souls slowly is the best thing you can do so obviously don't listen to that guy :I...

Reading all item descriptions, looking around and taking screens with binoculars, searching for hidden items - this is where I find fun in this game just as many other people do.

I never understood where the fun is in rushing the game.

I explored every area to. I dont see how someone can spend 10 hours in the first area in the game. We are talking up to the first boss here. You canbt possible tell me you can be there for TEN HOURS...?
