Unable to summon phantom?

Someone explain to me whats happening because ive tried summoning 20 people and get this every time.

I can get summoned in within 5 seconds every single time, but when I go to summon people it works maybe 1 out of 20 times. even with red phantoms and mad phantoms nothing works. this is the most frustrating part of the game

12 hours ago and now i cant see sign or summon me ;( (ember mode and boss alive)

Everytime I try to summon someone i get "unable to summon phantom". Every. Single. Time.... Is it me? the game? or what? it's so frustrating, because I'm stuck on a boss and really need help

The most likely event that's giving you this message is someone has summoned them before you, or they've removed their sign. Nothing wrong on your end....for the MOST PART

This. Summons are being taken so quickly that you have to spam the button the second you see someone's sign. Keep trying, you'll get one eventually.

Even though its happened every time for the last 3 days? Even if i grab the sign the second it appears? I've even tried both choices for cross region play just in case.

That doesn't go well, i get invadeded withen 5seconds of using an ember.

I keep getting summoned and unable to proceed through the boss fog. the host's character does a glitched action through the gate, and then I can not follow.

Being on the oposite end of that is the worst, your back up person you rely on is not there and your alone against this thing.
