Firelink Shrine tower question

I bought the 20,000 souls tower key and on my way back down, that's back through the tower not down on to the roof, there was an NPC that locked me inside and threatened me.

Who the f**k is he? I can't find anything about him on the DS Wiki page or any Youtube video. Did everyone just jump on the roof first time? Nobody thought of going back to trigger the event?

no we just know his name, he's patches he's in every miyazaki directed game, even armored core.

I jumped off, but I bet there is an illusionary wall or something because there's also a locked door at the bottom of the tower outside the shrine building where you fought the samurai guy. And that guy is sketch. he becomes a store/market guy but lets say that it comes at a cost

He's actually in the area on the way to the tower, take the ladder to the top floor but instead of going out, keep going to the end, you'll find him there.

Oh and don't forgive him for some Gesture.

When you come from the outside door just turn right and climb the stair. He have a store set

You need to jump off on the tomb (sarcophagus) from the bridge. Some loot to get and that open the door behind the katana guy
