buy from shrine handmaid for the branch tho for the seed wait for a while for it to drop near ur giant tree theres another tree later in the game so u can get 2 every so often if u wonder where the tree is its near the stairs to the right of the entrance

Seed drops when you got invaded but very rare.

Shrine Handmaiden does not sell White Branches tho

and there''s no ashes that put it in its inventory

later game, after you've found a certain Umbral Ash, you'll be able to buy them from firelink. Seed drops for me every time I make a significant progression through the game, but I seem to be only able to stock two maximum, so if you've already got two in your inventory it seems it'll never drop any more regardless of game progression or invasion. So check back every now n then

I have had 3 at some point. Seemingly it has a fixed percentage chance to grow after each invasion. So you can get 2 seeds in 4 invasions. Or 1 in 10 invasions. Also wondering about it growing only when being forcibly invaded by red orbs. Or if soapstone touching works too...
