Carthus Curved Sword ?

So, I am trying to find the Carthus Curved Sword, which, according to the wiki, should drop from some skeletons. I know which ennemies drop Falchion, Carthus Curved Greatsword and Carthus Shotel, but I can't seem to find the curved sword.
Anyone had any luck with that ?

Yep, it's the bigger red eye skeletons carrying a shield. Somewhat high drop rate if item discovery is decent. They look like thee guys that drop the greatsword however they are using a shield with a 1 hander. There's 2 right by the Carthus Catacombs bonfire...easy to farm.

Yep, I was there farming earlier for the vertebrae things, which are super rare. That's how I knew the swords dropped since i got a few of them in roughly 2 hours of farming. Only 4 vertebrae though :/ Warmth gonna take ages.

Well i have farmed around 80 titanite shards now, and not gotten anything but. Tedious as hell, and i kind of give up now. Really wanted to try that weapon out for my third run through this game.

Don't give up. It's not that bad for a farm spot, and its droprate isn't that terrible as long as you have some item discovery (I did it with 11 luck and with the crystal sage's rapier, but it would have been even faster with the covetous golden serpent ring and symbol of avarice). That weapon is just extremely good, it carried me all the way to the last boss. High damage, nice scaling (even better with sharp/refined), bleeding (which becomes extremely strong with carthus rouge), good weapon art (especially for chaining hits in pvp). Definitely the best curved sword in my opinion.

I got the weapon in 10 minutes with the crystal sages rapier equiped, think you might wanna try that

in the wiki iit has a +beside some items does that mean u can only get in ng+ did anyone get this sword in their first play thru

2025, this comment gave me hope. i’ve been farming these dudes for like an hour and a half and i’ve gotten 8 of the swords and no shields. im tryna grab the shield since it looks the most like a turtle shell and im doing a leonardo cosplay build lol
