4 player co-op does not work (Solved)
So there is myself plus 3 others.

We've set a password yet when two of us are summoned the third cannot.
In order to just get the second one we have to use the dried finger.
This is before we even get our 4th player in.

Once we summon the second person creating a team of 3 by using the dried finger we're invaded constantly and I am not sure if that is interfearing with the match making but the other day we could get 3 of us in a team without the asistence of the dried finger from the shop.

What is wrong here or what am I missing,

I've searched online and followed hte instructions and it should be as easy as the above but as soon as there is three of us the host cannot see any more signs.
Even when he uses the dried finger again it still will not work.

The white circle in your inventory that says you can restore connections cannot be used by anyone in our group either.

any assitence would be great.

Thanks

Above is my original post.

[Solved]

So each area has a maximum amount of players that can be brought
in as aid (Co-op)

Through Trial and error we've found some areas are 3 additional players
bringing your party to a total of 4 players. where one has to be brought in with the dried finger.
Then other areas are only a total of 3.

Weather this is by design or a game bug, it is definately the case.

In all the souls games, different areas have different PvP rules. Some areas like the Farron Woods will allow several enemy spirits and only one ally, some areas like the High Wall have normal PvP settings, 1 ally, 2 red Phantoms. Now i could be wrong, but i don't believe there's a single area where you can summon 4 phantoms, I believe the max is 1 host 2 summons.

Is this written somewhere or any conformation for the dev's?

Everywhere that I have looked suggests that this is not the case, however through my own expeience I am more enclined to say what you have said it correct.

I just don't understand why everyone is saying we can do 4 player co-op.
When i say everyone I am referring to IGN and other game review websites as well as redit.
