Friends do exist, I swear! :(
I loved DS2, the dlcs where realy realy great too.
people forgett that each game in a series is and should be different, people instantly cry when game x is not the same as game y.
Im eventually going to get a ps4 just for it, also mgsiv doesnt hurt either.
Dark Souls 3 on par with Demons Souls.
Then there's Dark Souls 2...
#2 Demons Souls due to insane story and world
#3 awesome :D
#4 ds3, too incomplete and rekt pvp
#non-existant its not a souls game get over sony fanboys your trying to argue that fallout 3 is a elder scrolls
I didn't play BB with a high rally weapon, and I loved the story and atmosphere. I pumped vit hard meaning while I had a ton of HP and was unlikely to suddenly die, it took like 3 blood vials to heal me up, and fights dragged on because of my low damage/rally so I often ended up running out of blood vials over long boss fights. That made it more difficult and balanced for me, and I loved the fashion and mob design as well! Brought back that old DkS1 feeling but better graphics and far more polished
The DLC almost made up for how bad the base game was, almost.
Dark Souls
Dark Souls 2
The thing is, I enjoyed Dark Souls 2 more than Dark Souls. Obejctively however, I beleive Dark Souls to be the better game in terms of design and so on. Dark Souls 3 is blowing me away. Even if I ranked DS2 lowest, I still put hundreds of hours in and loved it.
When you compare it to Dark Souls 3 which has very similar gameplay the differences become obvious.
World design being the biggest upgrade going from DKS2 to 3. The world is much more labyrinthine and fun to explore. In DKS2 it was often just a straight path with barriers on either side. No vertical level design at all save for a few areas.
The combat hitboxes and sound design was improved. And the bosses are a lot more challenging in a fun way. Instead of throwing badly designed bosses that die in a few hits, or gauntlets as bosses, each boss is thought out and intricately designed.
The enemies are a lot more dark and twisted in 3. They feel like they fit in a Dark Souls, Berserk-style universe. Dark Souls 2 had dumb enemy design like wooly mammoths in armor and full armored knights using katanas and running like ninjas... Dark Souls 3 has enemies that fit the universe a lot more.
Admittedly there are a lot of things I do not like about DS3 but for some reason I'm just having more fun with it than it deserves for its issues.
Demon souls isn't a dark souls game either. Considering the extreme similarity between them though they're considered "souls games" and so should Bloodborne. Sony is ♥♥♥♥ though.
similar gameplay... no. bosses.. no... enemies.. no.. the enemies of DS3 are mostly copy pasted from BB. the "wooly mamoths" in DS2 were people who "ascended" into a greater form, they went through a ritual to become that. Whether or not they willingly did it is debatable considering it's hinted at as people inwillingly being changed and knights willingly doing it.. the ALLONE knights are like that because they were trained by a samurai from the east (alonne) hence their name. the area designs are different but i like both. the gameplay is greatly different but that's because DS2 focused on PvP quite a bit, not saying DS3 is bad in anyway compared to DS2 combat. the hit boxes... lets put it this way.. i do like the fact that champion gundyr or whatever spin kicks me in the face after i rolled and ♥♥♥♥♥ me up, not even mad. at least he connected, i think DS2 went for the same thing except design wise they just couldn't get the AI to actually physically connect to you and hit you. (boss wise, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ casual AI are just bad)
2: Dark Souls (Dat classic)
3: Dark souls 2 (very underated game, masterpiece!)
4: Demon Soul
5: Bloodborne (too short, area all the same, too much emo thing and lack of weapons and magic, but it's a very good action game)
That's only my opinion :-)
