Flynn's Ring does nothing?

My equip load is 47.9/70.2 and putting the ring on does not increase my attack. Can anyone explain how this ring works? Do I have to lower my equip load after putting on the ring?

well if u read the description it say it is based on a tale that everyone knows is a myth so maybe it just doesnt do anything idk

If it's like DS2, the Flynn's ring is based on the MAX equip load. So unequip that havel's ring for example and have a second look.

The increase is minimal it seems, I have to be pretty much wearing nothing but my weapon and even then wearing either the Dex or Str rings give me 5 or 7 AR below Flynn.

your equip load needs to be super low for it to really do anything. good for thief builds i guess.

It seems like it works off your current equipment load, rather than max equip load like in DS2.
I put on the ring and it did nothing, then tried stripping off all my gear except left hand weapon and I could see the AR increase in the paper doll for each item I took off.

the lighter you are the more damage it does. i think past 50% it's almost useless, adds only 50 damage if my total weight it 16.1 % only wearing 1 weapon and rings

In dark souls 3 it's directly based on your equipped weight. The damage bonus starts to get lower once you go past 10 units of weight.

It isn't based on your weight percentage. It's based on the actual weight you currently have. Anything above 30 weight and it is useless. It's best used for 1 shot builds that don't require much armor, if any at all, and low level PVP. I imagine it's commonly used for sl1 runs, but I haven't tried that low of a run; it helps with my sl 13 run and my currently sl 35 strength build That I plan on keeping low level.
