[!HELP!] My graphics look like PS2 games.
I have a GTX 860M (362.00 WHQL), and I'm running the game at Ultra/Max (except Depth of Field & Motion Blur 'cuz I hate them in all games). The game looks considerably worse than SoTFS for me, and it's really noticeable. My resolution is 1366x768 in both games (for some reason they both lag like hell even at 60 FPS solid in 900p).
  • Anti-Aliasing IS working, but my character still looks like a cactus.
  • Enemies have no shadows, object shadows are LITERALLY pre-rendered
  • There's literally no dynamic lighting for me, my torch doesn't cast shadows it basically turns up the brightness around me (no volumetric lighting)
  • When I break objects, they become 100% dark blackholes on the ground
  • Enemies are half-way INSIDE the ground most of them time (wtf)
  • Collision detection is broken, my sword goes straight through walls/objects
  • Water looks like black oil no matter my reflection/quality settings, water looks weird but it was fine in SotFS
Does the game literally have no dynamic shadows and volumetric lighting (and still run like crap even on mid-tier systems)? How do I fix this? My game looks terrible, it's almost like a PS2 game

Screenshots:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=665695427 - no physics & anti-aliasing?
EDIT
My friend has the same problem, he's on 290X with latest drivers:

You're running a fairly intensive game on a laptop >.>

People straight up do not remember how terrible PS2 games looked.

Unless you go hack open the game and edit all the textures/meshes there is no way it can look like a ps2 game.

Late PS2 games didn't look that bad. If anything I'd say people tend to exaggerate how bad PS2 games are when they start complaining about a broken pile of textures and jagged vertexes flailing about and scream "It looks just like a PS2 game!"

are you sure your computer meets the required specs to run this game properly? DS3 has considerably higher requirements than SotFS

Check out my screenshots, looks pretty much Demon's Souls to me AT BEST.

Is this bait?

By no means do your screen shots look like PS2 graphics. That being said, you are playing on a laptop with a low resolution and your character looks like what should be expected at that resolution. Anti-aliasing does not fix a low resolution display.

Because I have seen the issue before, you might want to see if your laptop is actually using your GPU. Often, laptops will run games using the CPUs integrated graphics rather than the dedicated GPU.

It's NOT running on Intel HD. The main problem is I literally not NO SHADOWS. My character doesn't have shadows, enemies don't cast shadows and objects have STATIC shadows that are pre-rendered.

I'm verifying integrity to see if that helps.

Why use the PS2 game exaggeration when it's not even a little true and will only cause your topic to be derailed?

Look at this from SotFS:

And compare it to my friend's screenshot at firelink:
