Wolnir's Holy Sword

Anyone tried it? I'm a faith build and I thought this would be a great starting boss weapon however it seems rather weak.

It staggers pretty well and has a decent moveset. I think it's one of those have 50 faith + have it fully upgraded kind of weapons.

Yeah defo seems likely to scale with faith. Bit too early to find out yet i guess.

I'm considering it for my strength build but I really don't know if it will be any good. If it's not good for strength I'd like to use the boss soul for something else. Anyone have any input?

Seems like it would be good for WoGing people off that little ledge before Wolnir's boss room but that's about it. Any other greatsword should be more useful because they won't have the pointless battle art.

I've upgraded mine to +5 now and with
- 45 + Str
- 40 + Dex
It is fairy average compared to other swords,

It doesn't say it scales with faith but there still isn't any showing at max upgrade so I am not sure if any faith will increase damage. The weapon does have a nice stagger but.

It doesn't scale off faith, just requires it. Kind of trash.

Faith won't increase its melee damage but it will increase the damage done by its weapon art

I think some of the boss weapons are completely lack luster. I get they don't want to make them OP but I feel like they should be a bit more interesting. Usually the weapon ability is where these pay off. It requires 13 faith only and doesn't scale with it. But it's other requirements are lower than any other greatsword I think, and the skill is Wrath of God, which is always impressive and I think that does scale with faith.

I think we get caught up in the fact that it's a greatsword, which just feels like it should do more damage. It's also 10 less FP for that Wrath of God compared to the miracle. It also technically only has a 13 faith requirement to cast WoG with the sword where the miracle requires 30 Faith.

Because with the sword you get a WoG for 13 faith in stead of 30, and 10 less FP use.

WoG is really good at opening up tower shield users to crit them easy enough because it won't knock them down but it will open them up for a crit. However like Lothrics Holy Sword which shoots pure physical energy bolts at people it's only useful for certain things.
