Morne's Armor?

So I rescued the Saint, talked to the guy with the Armor, and when I went back to the Shrine, The saint and he was there as well, since I beat one of the bosses to get him to go to the Shrine. I go back to where I first saw him, and I understand he's supposed to be dead infront of the Cell where the Saint was locked up in, but for me he's not there. Anyone know what I need to do next? Is it another boss? (I've gotten up all the way to High Lord Wolnir or w.e.

I was also confused, as every guide I've seen online doesn't really mention exactly what triggers it, but according to the official guide, you can do one of two things. Either purchase any dark miracle from Irina at Firelink, which will cause Eygon to kidnap Irina, and you can then fight him near the Iudex Gundyr area. Otherwise, he will show up dead near Irina's cell after you defeat the Dragonslayer Armour.

Ah I see, well I was able to get it after I defeated Dragonslayer, I was just confused because I thought you would get it earlier in the game xD

Here's the thing, I had the shrine maiden selling the set by the end of the game and I didn't follow that questline at all. I gave Irina a tome that taught dark miracles, but I never bought any of them. He never took her away, never saw him again other than when he first showed up to check up on her. But by the time I killed the four lords, she was selling the set for 5k souls per piece.

He leaves Firelink after you talk to him there. If you missed that opportunity to kill him, then you have to follow his questline through. Which means possibly just waiting until after killing Dragonslayer.
