How to get the item on broken stairs right before Crystal Sage boss?

It's in the broken building with the 2 mage guys seconds before you get to the Crystal Sage boss. I've looked all over for 30 minutes, can't find a way. It also doesn't look like any other area can get to it so it has to be something im missing. Anyone know?

Hi. When facing towards the hall where the broken stairs is, go to your left through an arch, walk a few steps ahead and you'll find stairs that lead you to the second floor where that item is, there is also an NPC sorcerer.

thank ye MY GOD i must be the only one who cant find that bloody sorcerer after spending about a hour looking around the buildinng

Elielparra was right, before the room with the mages there's a spear wielding hollow, you can go left here so you're looking out over the fire and those two crucifix hollows, hug the right wall and keep going forward, theres an opening there and you can go up the stairs.

These stairs and arcoragon peak lever are one of the easiest obvious-next-to-your-face things people miss :D
