Sellsword twinblades make no sense.
The single sword attack does more damage than the dual attack. Makes no sense to me at all.

Personally I'd hoped it was a typo. But the dual attack still does more damage as each sword hits for its own damage. This seems fixed on later twin weapons though, rocking my sweet sweet ass Drang Hammers with much more damage on dual hits than singles.

nah ive used all the twin curved swords they do less same or less damage with the arts attacks the diff is they have a 360 hit range allowing for hitting pppl who roll to your side or behind or hitting multiple enemies viable. also twin curved swords have A BUNCH of diff attacks via comboing... if you can hit first or at all do to short atk range

Filthy Dex.
Its more for combos anyway, like a light attack then a heavy then a battle art, etc.

well at least my Drang Hammers seem fine. My deadly beauties are rocking in PvP and PvE. Although, your right about the combo potential, maybe that's why the lowered damage? You can do far more with the sweet combos that have such a wide swing and 360 coverage.

Did you invade in the cypt area, with all the skelletons?
Cause I fought a guy there who was using those while with a friend :P
I wore Lucatiels mask.

I can understand that they don't deal 100% increased damage, because that might be a bit too much.
But I was expecting maybe +75% or at least +50%.

But no...
They really do LESS damage when you use both weapons.
Why is it like this?

And the weapon art was only good in the beginning.
Now it deals less dmg than a single normal attack....

No sorry, I was too busy farming large titanite shards there to raid lol. I've been doing duals though at that snowy place by the second bonfire.

Did your invader at least give them justice?

Our invader was annoying as hell, and just kept trying to wait us out, and hide behind deadly enemies. :f

I don't know, I really hope they buff the dual weapons by a bit, to at least a dual 60%. Even that would not satisfy though honestly. Not sure what is up with the dual weapons, but bows are nice, especially since we don't have to worry about soul memory with our arrow purchases.

The twinblades are definitely a bit underpowered. I wanted to like them but wound up moving back to my good pal Longsword fairly quickly. :/

heh, trying to wait you out, what an ass. The Drang Hammers have a marvelous weapon art that's great for multiple players, or one lol. Just a single full hit of the weapon art does about 90% of your health bar, the last part is probably about equal to a fully charged strong attack and can easily take a quarter on its own. Such cowards do not deserve to use such a weapon.

90% of someones health bar varies though :P
I have 18 vigor on my main character. I have like 890 when embered. I need a better name for that...

Same here, but I started a dual sword user again anyways, just so I can start with higher dexterity, but I don't think I have the endurance for it. ;D

It does ALOT of damage. It can and will kill someone without much investment in VIG. Also, the weapon art is flawlessly able to be followed up by a regular attack or a power attack for even more damage.
BlazeRomulus Apr 14, 2016 @ 9:29am
It makes sense, one determined powerful swing or multiple controlled but flashier swings. if you manage to actually hit them with all of the hits you will outdamage the single swing.
