Nope

wasnt that the trade off?

I understood that in DS3, because they added much more variety to armors that you can find and wear, thats the reason they are not able to be reinforced.

Like it was in Demon's Souls, armour is not upgradeable.

Armour is not upgradeable. Which is very good.

You can no longer upgrade armour. Personally I'm happy with this as there's extremely little gains from spending FOUR TIMES the materials to upgrade your set, but there we go.

In DS3, armor is not ungradeable/reinforce. Similiar to BloodBorne, which is good because reinforcing armor is useless in the last 2 games of the DS series. That's why you have something like "Fashion souls" because armor is useless or give little protection and is more towards fashion and appearance for your character.

Too complicated for the console users.

The series started out console only. Only after a massive petition did From bring Dark Souls to the PC platform. Demons' Souls and Bloodborne remain Sony exclusives due to licencing argeements if I remember rightly.

This statement just shows how ignorant you are. Can we all just stop trying to insult people based on a choice of hardware to play games on please? This isn't a playground.

First point. Armour is NOT useless. Try running around naked and you'll quickly see what I mean. Armour defense values can offer more than just flat damage reduction. Certain sets come with MASSIVE boosts to poison, curse, fire or magic, and can make traversing areas a LOT easier.

Upgrading however did very little in actually improving the armour for what is a considerable reasource cost, which is what you said.

Fashion Souls mainly comes about with PVP, or when a player knows the game enough that they don't need to rely on stacking defenses to progress. There's also a small point about using a meme to justify an opinion, but what the heck, right? d=D

So... In the game they decide to throw out titanite shards willy-nilly, they decide to not let you use the overwhelming excess on armour? :P

Well, they've raised the cost of upgrading weapons as well, but it makes upgrading sometimes useful weapons easier. That, and to promote experimentation.

In actuality, having armor is just one way to give you more chances if you failed at something.

Since this game is all about fail and repeat, the armor kind of doesnt matter, since when you know the weakness of every enemy, and such, you dont kinda need the massive armors, when you can kill everything in the game without clothes on with a butter knife.

Its never been the point of the game. at least since im running an vitality/tank build for lolz in my playtrough, the armors kinda dont matter, or at least, wont make any kind of difference if you know the game.

The armor is there to give you more chances on seeing how to avoid the enemy hits and how to kill certain enemies. after you know all that, armor is useless.

Personally I remember that I upgraded an armor just a few times, rare occasions. First of all because the first time I did it (in DS1) I didn't notice any useful improvement in damage reduction and I spent a lot of resources I could have used for weapons. Secondly the game gives you an awful amount of new armors, occasionally one of them can easily overcome the stats of your current improved armor. In DS2 this principle was even more stressed out. I only upgraded 2 or 3 sets because I liked the style, but it wasn't worth it (better stats from different sets). So... If you do the maths it's easy, good thing in ds3 you don't need to upgrade. It would work only like this: Fewer upgrade levels (like +5 max) with better stat boosts and same costs (or just a bit higher), so you can upgrade quickly before a better armor comes up, or maybe your improved set is really worth wearing.
