There is a way to get the same Boss Soul in the first playthrough?
Just got the Soul of the Blood of the Wolf and can't decide what weapon I get

What do you liked the most, Wolf Knight's Greatsword or Farron Greatsword?

Is there a way to fight the same boss in the same playthrough like Dark Souls 2?

No.

Nope. You gotta choose. If you want both weapons, you gotta play the game again in NG+. Thats how it's always been in Dark Souls. I personally prefer the Wolf Knight's Greatsword because it is basically Knight Artorias' sword and he was my second favorite boss from the original Dks.

^ not true, Dark Souls 2 I could have all boss weapons in the first playthrough if I kindle the bonfires.

NG+ is the answer.

Personally, I like the one that costs no FP.
Great for PvP
Not so for PvE

Then again, maybe I should just Git Gud.

That also changes the area to NG+ though.

Dark souls 1, yes, but in Dark Souls 2 there was an item called bonfire ascetics that you could use at the bonfires to push a select area into NG+ mode and respawn the boss with NG+ rewards, including another boss soul, on the first playthrough.

Unfotrunately, it appears the only way to get a second boss soul in Dark Souls 3 is to start a second playthough in NG+

Which puts that area in New Game +. As is explained by the warning given by the item.

I don't have a problem with a area be NG+ in the first playthrough. I liked that aspect of DS2.

Oooh, I completely forgot about the ascetics. I never really used them to acquire the second boss weapons, should've done so! Thanks for the info, been a while since I last played Dks 2
Or you can just beat it again in another world, that means in your friend's world co-op

A completely useless addition to the game in dark souls 3.

Nothing new.
