Item above the sleeping giant in Irithyll Dungeon?

How do you get it? It's on the wooden ledges above where the giant lays his head. There are windows to the ledges but you can't jump out of them. What gives?

Should've been more patient. If you drop down below theres a ladder that leads up to the ledges. Derp

Um, I'm looking for a way to get to that item, yet I don't see a ladder anywhere. Can you elaborate?

Just drop down to the bottom of that pit, carefully obviously, then check for a arched passage with a staircase, the ladder is inside that passage.
