Traded with the crow but didnt get anything.
I gave the crow Onion bro's drink, but the game failed to give me whatever that trades for.

You quit and started again right?
it doesnt work like that anny more, you just pick it up and its transformed. and no, i dont know how to get the stuff if you quit out, did the same thing.

WHY THe f--- would they change how it works without a popup notification or something?!?

Assuming there's no other way to get it, could someone whos restarting anyway give me theirs?

you "leave" the item not discard, not sure if u did that or not, worked for me

At this moment level 28. I already restarted once myself, but I didnt try to trade anything on my first go so I didn't know it changed.

But if you're saying you're restarting and will give me yours, we can just use a password and that removes the SL requirement for matchmaking

Why would you not bother picking the item up, or look at what it resembles..
It clearly resembles armor once you trade the beerkeg.. totally a user error here..

because trading with the crow was the same in DS1 and DS2, you had to leave and reload the area. Why would I even have the thought it would be different now? This isn't user error, this is development error, they should have put a notification of the change, like a tutorial popup type thing. I didn't even look at the item.

You didn't have to reload in ds2, at least not in the sotfs, not sure about vanilla. You just had to pick it up.

No, they didn't have to, because SO MUCH has changed that I didn't even know how to change covenants at first. Just deal with it ffs.

I traded the crow in Vanilla, it was reload back then.

anyhow me and SirNerdalot are mutually rushing new characters to trade eachother, so we're good.

It is instant. You have to make SURE to hit "Leave" and not "Discard."

Discard destroys the item basically, while Leave drops it. I accidentally hit Discard my first time trading him and same thing happened as you guys.

This time around I hit leave and it immediately switched to his trade which is a chest piece.
