but u cant avoid dodge its so natural to do in the very moment of an i coming attack.
In Dark Souls 1 you could cartwheel, but there is no ability to cartwheel in Dark Souls 3 without the use of the Cheat Engine.
i like to recommend this one as a starter video on spacing. It is short and explains really well imo.
1.quicksteps have iframes
2.quicksteps consume fp
although you could use quickstep without fp, you'll get less iframes. and that means a lot. see, you get 'instablility frames' that make you take more damage when iframe ends in a quickstep, but when you get less iframes, it means more instablility frames before you can use quickstep again.
also it takes some time to get used to, since it'll be unlike anything you experienced thus far. but it can be really fun if you get used to it, so I suggest grabbing one of the weapons I said above and trying it out!
