[Lore question] How does 'world' work in dark souls series?
Well, i don't know how to put it, but.. for instance, getting summoned into Sirris's or Anri's world.
In world of Sirris you kill Creighton, who is dark spirit. But he infact isn't dead, and will invade you back for that at church of yorshka. And for Anri, you kill Aldrich with her, but Aldrich in your world isn't dead.

How does this work?
Is there many different world, like pararell world?

Time is convoluted, heroes of past and present phase in and out, etc.

I think of it more as simple 'video game logic' as that allows a mushroom to make you a super sized giant, or carry 12 different oversized guns in your pocket, or 6 full suits of armor in a back pack.

Just roll with it.

Well, based on Solaire's conversation in DS1 (he specifically mentions not knowing how long his world and yours will remain in contact), each NPC is in their own parallel world, though the worlds converge randomly or at some special points like Firelink Shrine.

As for phantoms, I figure it's like astral projection. They can send their souls wandering about all day so long as their body is still safe in their world. To really kill someone, you need to go after their body. Remember Marvellous Chester? His phantom invades, and you can kill it - then head back to the elevator and find him standing there just fine (if a bit upset). Kill him, though, and he dies for good.

Agreed.
However it is possible to destroy this illusion in some situations, like summoning Tsorig to fight himself.

You bastard, I wanted to be the one to help.

You can do that? I'd like to wonder about possible lore implications (Maybe one is a fake, as he has the same armor as Tarkus, who was regarded as a great hero and can help you in ds1 and he uses the fume ultra greatsword, the sword of the "traitor" Raime from ds2) but it's more likely that From overlooked this

I doubt there's any lore behind it. I vaguely recall another situation in ds1 or 2 where you kill someone and they later invade you.

There's only a couple situations similar to that that I can think of, but for both of them they invade if you don't kill them, I can't think of anyone who invades you after you kill their real bodies

I can't find what I was talking about. Maybe I imagined it. But speaking of Tarkus, he's supposedly dead before you can summon him for the Iron Golem fight. It's the kind of thing that "convoluted time" is supposed to explain.

Well you find what's probably his body after you've beaten the Golem and gotten to Anor Londo, so I like to think of it as him defeating the golem in his own world before you do, so he got to anor londo first where he most likely fell off the rafters

Yes, but the merchant just before the fight is aware of Tarkus' death.

The merchant specifically talks about how nobody has defeated Sen's fortress yet, so he's referring to Tarkus not yet beating the Golem. You defeating the golem in your world would be the trigger that marks the point where Tarkus defeated the Golem in his own world. Then he falls off the rafters and he's probably so embarrassed that he goes hollow and dies

"Let me give you a nibble of advice.
Don't even consider visiting Anor Londo. Not in your state.
For a century, they have tried, and failed.
The Knight King Rendal, Black Iron Tarkus, and even Logan himself.
You won't stand a chance. You'll be eaten alive.
But, go along, if you wish. If only to deepen your despair!"

Knight King Rendal is a bit of an unknown quantity. Logan failed by being captured. Tarkus obviously beats Iron Golem, and it would be weird to say he failed if his quest was in progress. It's heavily implied that he's already dead by the time you get there.

Ah fair enough, you got me there. In that case I can only assume that his sign is there to help others overcome the golem
