Early game str weapon?

First time trying a heavy guy, any reccomendations for an early weapon? Just gotten to the settlement at the moment, and been using this deep battle axe a fair bit. Looking for somethng worth pumping my first titanite into.

greatclub (road of sacrifice) and greatsword (farron keep) are pretty early on you can get them having only beaten vordt of the boreal valley

claymore, its on the high wall were the wyvern is breathing fire.

Also you can get the machate from the big guys from settlement.

Isn't it pretty easy to tell which weapons are good for certain stats? The game tells you scaling and stat requriements after all. Regardless, I can recommend any of the clubs - regular is available from the Handmaiden I think, large is in Undead Settlement near the fire demon, and great club is from the Great Club wielding Exile Knight in Road of Sacrifice. Great Machete also drops quite early, and Claymore is available close to the start of the first area, near the Drake on the bridge.

Step 2: kill the guy with a huge axe (greataxe) till he drops it

Step 4: Infuse it with heavy gem

good description, but Greatsword is still better in some cases.

Greataxe might be the earliest, but you'd have to farm it. Large club is located near fire demon iirc.

1. Greataxe - can be dropped from the big hollow wielding it near 1st bonfire on Hight Wall of Lothric.
2. Large Club - can be found in Undead Settelment where fire deamon & Siegward are located. Alongside with Warrior armor set.
3. Zweihander - will be possible from Greirat after first pludering mission.
