Can't reinforce Estus Flask ...Wuuuut ?

I got the estus shards in my inventory and still, I can't upgrade or allot by estus flasks. It sends a message "No Ashen Estus Flask in Inventory".... dafuq is this ?

You have the achievement for "ULTIMATE ESTUS" Thus you can't upgrade any further.... 15 Flasks total divided how you see fit.

Nah, it's on my new character...so it's not logical...

That's really odd. Since it says "No Ashen Estus Flask in Inventory", did you get the Ashen Estus Flask in Cemetery of Ash?

You gotta go all the way back to the very beginning, and loot the ashen flask off of the first corpse you see when you make a fresh character. Grab that, then you can upgrade away.

To be fair.. if the game says you are missing something, and you are indeed missing something and you are not able to make this conclusion, then how do you survive?
