Okay, how do I 1 hit backstab Drakeblood Knights in the Dragonkin Mausoleum to speed up soul farming?
Topic, I've tried everything I can think of with my current build of using:
Hornet Ring
Priest's Ring
Lightning Clutch Ring
Dragonslayer's Axe+5 with 50 STR and 18 FTH
Casting the Sunlight Straight Sword Weapon Arts boost along with Deep Protection(so they stack) I can manage some 850 AR and it's STILL not enough to one-shot the suckers(only does about 1250~ damage).
Like, what weapon has the best backstab damage I don't mind burning a respec for the ability to farm souls later on before I start NG+(so I can stock up on mats and consumables and upgrade all the weapons/infuse them I want beforehand).

Have the loyd ring? It increases attack when hp is full

How much do souls do u get for killing him? In grand archives, u can farm the 3 fat angels, with bonus souls rings, shield of want, and mimic head, u can get like 60-70k per run, and on NG+ almost 160k.

why do you want to one shot them so bad? also most weapons have the same crit damage except mail breaker which has 130 crit compared to the average 100. i havent been able to experiment with it but you may want to try it. If it does work please let me know

Yeah but then I lose out on about 3K souls a kill without using the Symbol of Avarice; plus I tried with it earlier and it's STILL not a big enough boost to push past 900 AR apparently needed to one shot these guys.

additionally as they are dragon related those npcs may have the dragonscale ring effect on them and thus resist backstabs

9,504 every 20 seconds and it's a very low risk run compared to trying to fight 3 enemies at once.

It minimizes the chance that I will foul up and my follow up attack will miss/they'll block/the attack just goes through them even though they're fully on their feet/they dodge since Drakeblood's do a TON of damage and are generally very aggressive with long attack chains. I can TRY upgrading a Mail Breaker but I doubt even with a Hornet Ring and making a Heavy infusion for one it'll do as much damage as Yhorm's or Dragonslayer...

That... might be a good point to be honest. I never considered that considering I was using what Drakeblood Armor is weak against(mostly Lightning).

Dagger +10
Hornet Ring
Leo Ring
Lloyds Ring for damage boost
Flynns Ring
Riposte / Backstab

Profit

Not 1-shotting them isn't a big deal. They're easy enough to catch when they're getting up, and then kill them with a couple R1s or a charged R2. I was farming them with a Profaned Greatsword +4 with 30/30 str/dex (not including rings) and I'd just backstab, step forward a bit, and then charge my R2 poke, and it'd go off and kill them just as they got up.

Dagger has 130 crit too but can't use Lloyd's with Symbol of Avarice due to HP drain and Flynn's Ring damage boost relies on REALLY low equip weight(not percentage, weight), which you can't really do with:
Symbol of Avarice
Shield of Want
Medicant Staff
(Weapon of choice, mine is Dragonslayer Axe or Yhorm's Great Machete)
Plus once again, losing out on an extra 3K of souls per kill slows down the farming by 30% basically.

Yeah I usually do that with Yhorm's or Dragonslayer but like I said before sometimes the swing will just go through them for some reason or they'll get a dodge off and even with decent armor(basically 30% absorbtion) their attacks rip off around 500 HP a hit and they can easily kill you quickly. Plus, if I one shot them I speed up the process of farming as well. Everything is to make the farm faster, killing them in 1 hit and gaining as many souls as possible per kill. It's just aggravating that I've basically hit the damage cap for STR weapons without stacking buffs and rings and it's still not enough to one shot these suckers...

Don't have the stats to cast it and I'm trying to avoid leveling up any further I'm already around SL130 for this run, won't matter in NG+ to be honest though...
EDIT: Also how long does it take to kill the three Angel Knights up there and get back and forth to the bonfire to respawn them? Probably a few minutes easy, unless it can beat 27K a minute it's not very good and combat is always random with a chance to get killed.
