It minimizes the chance that I will foul up and my follow up attack will miss/they'll block/the attack just goes through them even though they're fully on their feet/they dodge since Drakeblood's do a TON of damage and are generally very aggressive with long attack chains. I can TRY upgrading a Mail Breaker but I doubt even with a Hornet Ring and making a Heavy infusion for one it'll do as much damage as Yhorm's or Dragonslayer...
Hornet Ring
Leo Ring
Lloyds Ring for damage boost
Flynns Ring
Riposte / Backstab
Profit
Symbol of Avarice
Shield of Want
Medicant Staff
(Weapon of choice, mine is Dragonslayer Axe or Yhorm's Great Machete)
Plus once again, losing out on an extra 3K of souls per kill slows down the farming by 30% basically.
Yeah I usually do that with Yhorm's or Dragonslayer but like I said before sometimes the swing will just go through them for some reason or they'll get a dodge off and even with decent armor(basically 30% absorbtion) their attacks rip off around 500 HP a hit and they can easily kill you quickly. Plus, if I one shot them I speed up the process of farming as well. Everything is to make the farm faster, killing them in 1 hit and gaining as many souls as possible per kill. It's just aggravating that I've basically hit the damage cap for STR weapons without stacking buffs and rings and it's still not enough to one shot these suckers...
EDIT: Also how long does it take to kill the three Angel Knights up there and get back and forth to the bonfire to respawn them? Probably a few minutes easy, unless it can beat 27K a minute it's not very good and combat is always random with a chance to get killed.
