New Game +? Or new character?
Hey guys! Just recently beat the game for the first time.

Would you recommend playing through NG+ or starting a new character altogether and trying a different build?

What do YOU want to do?

NG+ isn't really much harder (actually I think it's easier) then NG so I'd say just replay with a different character unless you have become attached to your gear and character then maybe try NG+.

Considering you'll likely end up in a same ballpark-style character as most other people later in the game, classes don't matter in the end. NG+ probably. Otherwise you'll likely end up playing a copy of your previous character probably unintentionally, it happens in these games.

Don't level VIG at all and it is harder <3.

I just need some dlc or something because I can beat this game in like 6 hours now, however I got way too many hours played of this game already so I got my moneys worth.

Go through NG+ at level 80 - 100 with +6/+8 weapons if you're looking to keep the challenge up. Level 120+ with fully upgraded weapons is pretty easy, though, ur right.

Respec for a new build/new strategy

6 hours isn't that fast. Also my tipp: Challange runs. Will do a slvl 1 run myself when I get all achievements.

Not challeging enough, do it while wielding a Broken straight sword and the Calamity ring, then you can earn your bragging rights.

I find it really stupid how people are all "Welcome to Dark Souls" and "OMG hardest games EVARZ" when it's actually the self-imposed limits and not levelling up to avoid the mind-bogglingly-stupid compulsory PvP that make the largest obstacles, and people attribute those to the game itself.

In the streets all of this sentence could be put into one small phrase (YOUR FAULT).

Not sure I grasp your meaning. Or is that a reference to something?

Just saying you didnt need to write all of that, especially when at least 60% wont understand a word and just continue ranting.

Honestly guys, I didn't mean this to devolve into a discussion about difficulty, but was just curious about the best experience. DS2 actually added quite a few new surprises to NG+ so it was worth it. Here it might be best to start a new character for a fresh go?

If your first character was a big 2h user and only that or a sword and board style and only that then why bother with NG+?

Experiement with spells and weapon stats.

That's what everyone seems to be saying. Maybe try a build with a gimmick to it or a different weapon type that you've been eyeing.
