nameless king is nameless king
parry the sun
You made me laugh too mutch! XD
I doubt Nameless ever parted with his life-long friend.
Plus there's the size difference between Solaire and the Royal Family, and Solaire himself is from Astora, which he not only states, but is also pretty much confirmed when you look at the craftsmenship of the Astora Straight Sword, Anri's Sword, and the Sunlight Sword.
Solaire's armor in Dark Souls 3 makes it evidently clear that he's mortal, although a strong and determined one.
Could Solaire have been inspired by the Nameless King?
High plausible. Nameless was the Heir of the Sun, and Solaire wanted to find his very own Sun, a legacy he could call his own. It would explain how Solaire knew Sunlight Spear, and other similar moves known by the Royal Family.
In short, Solaire is not the Nameless King, but he could have been inspired by, or even idolized the Nameless King, to the point of wanting to be like Nameless, albiet in Solaire's own and goofy way.
The Ornstein in Anor Londo was not real. Only Smough was real.
How? If he's insane he presumably stays down there in Izalith with the maggots and nothing happens, Miyazaki mentioned it was him "finding his sun", and so without purpose he'd have hollowed if that isn't why he went insane in the first place. If he links the fire his soul burns out and he becomes a husk like Gwyn. Neither of those offer any opportunities for him to go on.
The original theory was there was a statue of a woman holding a baby which had an astora short sword. This was the only evidence people based the theory that solaire was gwyn's first born on, also that he helped us defeat gwyn if we kept him alive.
We now know for a fact that solaire is not gwyn's first born but the nameless king is. In ds1 we are told that gwyn's first born was disowned for loosing the annals of history. In ds3 we can see this is probably a translation error since the nameless king was lost to the annals of history because of his betrayel of gwyn to join the ancient dragons. There is nothing that ties solaire to dragons.
If you want to convince us that solaire is gwyn's first born then you need to bring some new compelling evidence. Merely saying he is because item descriptions are vauge enough that no one can proove you wrong is not good enough.
My guess is that Gwyn destroyed the annals himself to erase his son's name as well as all records that would cause others to sympathise with him, or even agree with him. Then he declared that it had been the firstborn who had actually destroyed the annals, to replace his crime so that no one would learn the truth.
Furthermore, I think this was the act that caused Havel to turn on Gwyn and begin the plot that led to his imprisonment, and that this is why we find him in Archdragon Peak.
I'm curious as to why he's hollow like his papa.
His drake was suffering so he put him out of misery. Didn't you see how he hesitated to thrust his weapon into the drake?
