semi off topic EULA CHEATING EBAY

It came to my attention, after looking the prizes for the retail version of the ps4 version up on ebay, that there are sellers that act as if this is Diablo or something...if you enter Dark Souls 3 on eBay, you find people that sell you a package off all rings+20 million souls...

Is it me, or does this scream online bann?
I doubt that it's a very efficient business modell, having to start a new game game and collect all the rings and soul items to add up to 20 million, because that would take many, many hours...

...so I'm pretty sure that they just edit a save file to get all that stuff, I mean, the biggest soul gives 50k souls, and I'm pretty sure it's a rare item in the game...

Anyway, I would stay away from such an offer (don't really know why you would spend money on it anyway).

after you trade off items, reload your save game from the cloud

You can upload your save file using psn+, you then trade the items you want to a person. Exit out of the game and redownload your old save file and you can trade those same items to the person again and again till you have 699 50k souls

I'd assume they just +soul you at a lower rate, therefore not bannable. Or they just dupe soul vials and drop them in your game. It's not a big deal, really, anyone whose stupid enough to bother wasting money on that is well, lol.

This isn''t Diablo where you could play for thousands of hours and still not obtain the most perfect item you are looking for. You get virtually everything in a playthrough minus a few + rings. It's their loss, all around.

How is it not cheating, getting items via paying instead of getting them the way it's ment to be? That's the pure definition of cheating, except that usually people don'T pay for cheats...oh wait...Game Geny, Xploder, are 2 examples for paid cheat add ons for consoles. So yeah, it's cheating.

Btw. "lol" is not a valid argument.

I mean, technically, it is cheating. We are gaming the system by trading items, then reloading the saves. It is cheating, but it's not punishable. At the end of the day the EULA can only limit what is harmful to others...

Script kiddies fall into this, duping really doesn't. Duping in any form is still cheating.

Not sure if the act of boosting other people is cheating but I think PSN would do something if they knew said boosting was being charged for via Ebay (or any other buying/selling website).
