Odd summon limit.

I host a lot of fight clubs, but something happened recently that is preventing me from doing so. For some reason, I can only summon two red phantoms, and that's when using the dried fingers. No idea what caused this, but I have heard mutterings that not being hollowed is the cause. However, I undid my hollowing a while back and still hosted fight clubs. Advice?

I read something about if you beat the boss in an area you can't summon that many anymore.
IDK, I wasn't able to summon 5 phantoms after *Aldrich died.. (*edit)

you are able to summon 2 reds (as far as I know) and you can be invaded by I think it was 2 or 3 phantoms depending on the area, but I'm not positive

In the area after the Pontiff bonfire, 5 red phantoms can be summoned using the Dried Fingers so long as Aldritch is alive. With Aldritch dead, you can only summon two, and not be invaded.

Killing the area boss reduces maximum red summon to two, that was an awful idea on fromsofts part.

Where at, after Pontiff? It's actually in reverse to what Gameo said. If you haven't fought the boss, the area has to keep at least two Aldrich Faithful slots reserved, allowing you to summon two of your own phantoms, be it white/gold or red/purple.

After the boss has been killed, you're free to summon up to five RSS phantoms.

Boss being dead has nothing to do with summoning reds..

Well, before this I had no difference in red summons after killing the boss in the area.

Do you have Way of Blue as your covenant? If so, it'll usually only let you summon one phantom since the game is opening the floodgates to invaders and simultaneously seeking a blue sentinel / bladebro.

If you killed the boss already and can only summon one red, then I have no idea.

No, I think I had Aldrich equipped when I tried to host a fight club with one of my chars today.
I could summon one red and all signs disappeared thereafter.

The people posting are wrong. Ive invaded fight clubs where people have 4 reds summoned, to invade, they must have not beaten the boss. Also, trying to host a fight club after defeating aldrich results in 2 maximum red summons, and thats with the dried finger.

so leave aldritch alive for any fight club. anyway, NG+, hosting a fight club on high wall now. so its working i guess.

If you kill the area boss, then you can only have a maximum of 2 until you kill the end boss which removes the limit on each area
