Cant use ember

I cant activate ember. I can see it in my inventory but when I try to use it, my character does the same animation as trying to use item that is out of charges. I have 27 embers.
I was able to use them few times, but after death I suddenly couldt.

I cant leave signs either, so I think Im not embered. I also look like a raisin.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again? (restarting your game, or purposely dying again)

The 'Raisin' look is you going Hallow, and is related to Yole of Londor, but being Hallow doesn't stop you from using Embers.

Yes, I know. Im in NG++ :D Ive died, restarted both game and steam. But no. This is my main character so this kinda sucks.

Maybe try to put down a white sign and help someone with a boss? Maybe that will get you actually embered again.

I know this was a while ago, but for any future people the reason behind your problem was that you are using the Untrue Dark ring, which gets rid of the ember effects.

Well, this might be weird, but the only thing that I did to solve it was.... Killing myself to get rid of any ember effect !!!
