Friend can't see my summon sign.

A friend of mine is having trouble seeing my summon sign and we cannot coop. Also, I noticed that only a few signs showed up in Irithyll instead of a dozen.

If you search "summon sign" in the bar to the right you should find about 500 threads on this issue, maybe someone has already given the answer you seek.

Yes but that's not the only issue I'm having. I also noticed that are absolutely NO RED SIGNS in Irithyll. I rarely see one red sign.

When I say Irithyll, I mean the area after pontiff.

Have you ever recieved an "Invalid Game Data" message when starting up the game or any other message stating that you have been penalized?

My bad, I thought that you were insinuating that something similar happened.


Well, there are apparently a number of matchmaking issues that are plaguing a good chunk of players at the moment.

I have a particular issue where I cannot be summoned to another world as a Blue Sentinel or Blades of Darkmoon phantom, nor can I be summoned as an invading Watchdog of Farron and Aldritch Faithful.

A number of players believe that there is something wrong with the matchmaking algorithm.


The only solution I can suggest you and your friend try is detailed in the following thread:

**EDIT**: While this particular solution has been crafted for the purpose of fixing covenants whose invasions or assistance are based around automatic summoning, this may help.

It's pretty weird. I was cooping with him earlier with no problem and then suddenly he's like 'I can't see your summon sign". I also noticed after he said that very statement that I see no red signs in Irithyll.

If this happened very recently, your problem could perhaps be attributed to your attempts to summon each other in an area where a lot of multiplayer activity is occuring.

Try summoning in an area where both of you are seeing minimal summon signs.

**EDIT**: preferably not an area where you were previously seeing numerous summon signs.

I also don't mean to possibly undermine you or your friend, but if you're trying to be summoned via the white sign soapstone, are you doing so in an area where the host's boss in the area is still alive?

I've also tried invading people in different areas and frankly, I couldn't invade anyone. I also laid down my sign near the nameless king fog gate to see if someone will summon me, and apparently no one summoned me. It's ridiculous how broken the matchmaking system is.
