What is the room behind Aldrich?

Hey,
after defeating aldrich i noticed that you can go up to a secret room were is like a throne, and the sun princess Ring. What is this room. Is it in a questline? Or part of that 4th ending?

I'm pretty sure there was a character in there in DS1 or 2, you can see a statue of her in the back of the Aldrich boss fight area.

If you played the first Dark Souls, you'd know it was the place in which Princess Gwynevere, daughter of Lord Gwyn, used to reside. I won't say anything else, but you should definitely play it!

It was also an important room in Dark Souls 1, for both progress and lore. The ring is somewhat of a calback.

That whole area, Arno Londo was from Dark Souls 1. It's changed significantly enough that you wouldn't notice it except for a specific area such as leading up to the Aldrich boss room and the room itself(Although it seems smaller in DS3 than in DS1). In the room with the Princess Ring there used to be a well known character there who was head of a covent if I recall correctly... Obviously DS3 is some years after DS1 so the character is no longer there but there are many paintings of her littered around Arno Londo and leading up to the boss room, she's the chick with the big tits.

There is also a quest there where you're required to invade a character. It's hard to find unless you look it up as in order to trigger it you have to do very specific things and go to a specific area to activate an item.

The world's greatest chest, the most beautiful sight was located in this very room. And now... it's empty. :(

Dont know if it's part of a questline, but that room was where the "sun princess" in DS1 was, on that huge couch, Amazing Chest indeed
