Duping items?
Is there an easy way to dupe items? Or would I have to rely on overwriting my save?

Start NG+ and all the items will be back. Easy duplicates.

yeah you shouldnt even be askign that question
"the presence of an external tool/file is being used (Hack/Cheat tools), exploits (duping items/equipment) or other violations of the End User License Agreement (EULA)"

Are you talking about CE or backup saves? Because people need the backup saves now for hackers anyway.

Not interested in hack tools. I'm looking for a Stockpile Thomas type exploit.

I don't advise it. even for the same item types there are probably unique ids as the items are generated ingame for the player. if they find those unique ids attached to the items on multiple saves scanned by the server, yourself and others may be flagged for review. and the way people did that, was by backing up their saves going online dropping/trading the items then quitting and reloading the backup so they still have the item. i heard people were softbanned in dark souls 2 if they did that too often. so I don't advise it. people have been banned for using harmless software that make them able to actually able to play the game in ds2, so when you are doing somehting that is actually considered a form of cheating, expect a softban at some point in your future. at least if you do it enough times to be noticed.

btw backups are encouraged by devs in case you run into cheaters. if you trade something or gif tit to someone, and then are invaded or summon a cheater and are forced to use a backup containing that item you will probably be okay. fromw hat i heard it took a few times deliberately duping in ds2 to get someone softbanned, which is probably to give you some leeway in case you are forced to use a backup save by a cheater. just don't do it deliberately, or you will be flagged after a few times.

I am certain two estocs untempered uninfused appearing the same have unique tags only seen somewhere in the save to show if an item has been duped. trust me on this. my first mmorpg did this with items, and people duping stacks to hand in for a specific quest were instantly banned sometimes when the server detcted the same tags for the items in the stack multiple times. the tags were geenrated as the loot was, so the same stackable item could not be duped without being caught. every item in that game did that, including gear. and people were caught quickly for it aftera point. often instantly. or within the hour roughly.

don't dupe items.
don't do school.
stay in drugs.

no by simply duping item you can get banned as it is in the terms of their EULA
i know they dont watch the forums at all but its the matter is your asking how, its kinda like,
you went to the police station and asked how to kill someone in a sense

It basicly just changes values. Everyone with a Wordpad can do it aswell, so is wordpad a hack tool? CE makes finding the value way easyer thats all.

However I have personaly no problem with using it - when its done offline. I miss perma gravelording, random weapon change and all that stuff we got happen for DS1.

Greetings.

One of the ways you can get banned/restricted is by having items it is not possible for you to have. Duplicates of items that you can only have one of given your game progress is one way to do that.

I was thinking more in the way of duping slabs and gold coins. Not equipment.

You can still only get a certain amount of slabs per playthrough. Same problem.

The EULA they've done a poor job enforcing over the last 5 souls games.

But they're not unique. Sounds like a loophole to me. Besides that sounds like a really easy work around if I just have someone else craft things for me.

Can't have more than 8 slabs? Have someone make 8 +10's for me. I know that's WAY to complicated for FROM to track.
