And you are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right, but that's not enough xD
The spoon also gave weapon diversity but.. nah xD
I can understand doing bloodlust for PVE, makes the game more difficult but.. PVP? Where everyone is doing its best? Is like doing wrestling with only one arm...
It would be nice, if the battle art got integrated with the gameplay. Right now it's a, okay, i'll go far so i can buff safely. Boring. BORING. If you dont know, the buff animations damages the enemy in front of you, both when you put in and pull out the sword from your chest, but its too long. It would be great if the buff takes 1-1.5 seconds to cast and last ONLY 5-10 seconds, but with increased damage (50%). This way you have to integrate the buff IN THE COMBAT and use it on it. For example, you dodge a hit, then use the buff, the buff staggers the enemy, you counterattack. Use the buff ACTIVELY while attacking-dodging, cause it's too short that, if you use it while being far and safe from the enemy, it will run out when you reach him
Why? Like i said, right now is a "ill go far and safe and cast the buff". Boring. To do that i already have uchigatana with some buff or resin, more range, more base damage.
And how about the Yuria katana? ALSO SUCKS!
I was thinking about it. HOLD. BATTLE ART. The one with R1 being a dash and R2 a parry. Losing that battle art is not worth. That battle art made katanas unique in DS3. Its what mades katana BE katana. Without it, a katana is just an straightsword with bleed. Katanas are katanas in DS3 because of the hold battle art, that gesture with the sword pulled off, waiting for a parry or dash... removing that to gain only a buff or a shield-ignore is not worth. Yea, you could one hand the katana and parry with caestus, but i think you lose something. Its just not worth to lose that amazing battle art, unless the bloodlust buff is like i said, +50% damage with LOW cast time and duration, and the yuria sword... well, maybe it's good for turtles, but still sucks a bit compared to what you lose. I mean, their battle arts can be nice, but when you compare to what you lost (hold) then it's not
you can enter hypermode quickly...
That's it.
I dont understand u. If u talk about bloodlust, it takes 3 full seconds to cast.. and if being interrupted in the first 2, you get no buff, but bleed and damage
Google it then you get a cookie for getting the joke.
Hyper armor? Katanas doesnt have it. Sorry, i dont get it, google doesnt help, who cares, i already eater too much chocolate today
That's made for the joke, like the Spoon. But bloodlust is a TRUE weapon with a really interesting mechanic from DS2 that is totally wasted because it's.. not just not viable. It's viability is negative
Hypermode = intentionally lowering HP while using RTSR, Morion Blade and as much buffs as possible.
It's a high risk high reward playstyle. A oneshot - build basically.
And it's a really good, unique, interesting and amazing playstile, IF IT'S WORTH.
Do you remember DS2 pyro where you burnt yourself in fire, losing a lot of health to do tiny damage? The most useless spell in the game. Plain simple.
Here the same. Bloodlust just sucks. Yea, with the buff gets A BIT more damage than chaos blade, but you lose the amazing stance to dash and parry, it has one of the shortest ranges, bad bleed build up, 3 seconds to cast with 15 seconds duration... i would even make the self-buff make 100% bleed to you, so you lose 30-40% of your health (but not normal damage) to make it viable. That would be freaking awesome
I was also pretty bummed out that a lot of the katanas in the game aren't very good. I ran most of the game with an Uchi, but most of the others aren't so hot. I hear Onikiri and Ubadachi are decent and harder to predict in PvP, but their PvE damage seemed underwhelming.
