Vordt is seriously one of the hardest bosses in the game

ive already beaten the game as a pure str build and got through it quite easy but now im doing a dex mage character ive died to this boss 6 times now, his attacks do insane amounts of damage and hes insanely unpredictable, this is the only boss other than pontiff ive had trouble on lol

Same for me. I have farmed in the beginning, and my HP bar was discretely long. I also had 6 doses of Estus. Got Vordt at the first attempt. If am currently in the Undead Settlement. If the other bosses are not much harder, this game is definitely not easy but not as frustratingly hard as some people say. I love it!

Vordt, Sage and Deacons can all be rock hard for a mage type character.

I will admit that using a pyro on Vordt was a little harder than knight. The hand axe is so terrible in this game.

I did it with the handaxe, with great axe, with spear, with sword and with magic (really, the hardest one was with magic, he runs toward me and . . . I get little to no time to use magic again, I felt really unconfortable after Vordt to keep using magic on bosses so much that after I got to Rosaria I changed to melee, got the Greataxe maxed out as much as I could . . boom, bosses killed like I was killing fies - NOTE TO SELF: some flies may be troublesome).

I always kill him going behind and hitting his "back" . . . I just hit him in the head if he turn to me, but then I go to his back and just stay there, walking sideways as he try to turn on me and bashing him to death.
