Curse Rotted Greatwood
Can't kill him, his acid field from butt-slam is constantly kept up in the second phase.
Can't hit the hand until he falls on it, even then it's not on my side most of the time.

His first hit will stagger me (No poise...) and take all my stamina if I block it, leaving me open for the arm thing to get in a good hit.

Eventually he wore me down and I died. Honestly I've completed every boss so far on the first try. This guy, I just can't do. He's worse than Capra Demon from Ds1

Don't hit the arm.
There are pustules on the feet, back, stomach, thigh etc. Each time you pop a pustule he will be stunned for a few seconds, which will often give you enough time to run to another pustule and stun him again.

Yeah, try to stay on the other side of him.

Well I just died once again, I managed to take out all the ones exept for the stomach one.

Every time I tried to rush the stomach pustle, one of the following would happen:
1. One of his limbs would be In my way and I would run out of time to attack him.
2. His acid field would be up (What happens to most of my attack windows.)
3. My sword will magically go through them and instead bounce off his bark, letting the hand kill me a second later.
4. I'll have an FPS drop and die.

Honestly this is the worst boss I've fought in all the Dark Souls games, even Capra Demon wasn't this cheap.

He keeps that acid field up CONSTANTLY. I hardly ever get a chance to attack, and when I do it just ends up with me doing one of the four above.

I'm using the claymore. In the second phase, he hardly takes damage. it's a +4 last I looked.

When can I get in a hit?

Does the acid bath even do anything other than slow you down and take very very small hp off?

Makes you very slow and open to heavy attack.

I managed the fight with a UGS so it's not like it's physically impossible. Just dodge his swipes and attack right after, the acid doesn't do much damage and if your dodging is on point you can just sit in it the whole fight.

The Greatwood is not a enemy you need damage for, but many quick hits.
His sacks don't explode upon reaching a certain health, but upon being hit a certain amount of times. So take a quick hitting sword. First phase just destroy the front ones and when you fall run off until he stands up and falls down. Then hit the bubbles at his elbow/hand until both pop. Check for other bubbles and carefully take those out as well when given opportunity.

Thanks, I'll take a Rapier in next time.

Not true. Just like Wolnir you can destroy the weak spot with a single attack if you hit hard enough.

They have a damage and a hit trigger to explode.
Generally aiming for the hit trigger is better at the first playthrough since you won't really have a high enough damage output to safely to a strong attack at second phase.

Try to bait it into doing that move where it stands up and then falls forward, as it starts to fall run to your right and then run back in once it hits the floor, then simply bash it's arm a good three or four times and then rinse and repeat.

Also the minions have been a massive source of grief for me when attacking in the first phase.
Trying to kill the tree, I get slammed in the head from nowhere.

The Souls series isn't for everyone.

For you, I would suggest trying Barbie Horse Adventure: Wild Horse Rescue, it seems like it would be up your alley.

Save yourself the hassle and quit while you're ahead, if the Greatwood is giving you this much trouble you'll probably end up hospitalized from stress when (if?) you make it to the Nameless King.

Safety first.
