Apparently they are aware but nothing has been done yet, with our luck we will get patch is working as intended.
I haven't tested it myself yet, but maybe someone has the time. I'm at work right now, unfortunately, or I already would have tried it.

Check the bottom the post for the files and info on how they revert the changes and fix the freezes.
If you don't give them a negative rating, they may never fix it.
Hahahahahahahahahha.....................................No
From don't fix anything performance-wise. All they've done is tweak weapon stats and bugs that affect the consoles too.
Pc specific stuff NEVER gets fixed.
The stutter you guys are mentioning comes and goes with each patch. At launch it was isolated to auto saving, then at 1.03 it affected framepacing and created mini freezes and frameskipping.
Since then its been a russian roulette as to where and when they happen. The Ithryll dungeon is terrible for them.
Posts like this get buried pretty quickly on these forums since in the eyes of the fanboys, from can do no wrong.
Try discussing poise instead: its all they care about.
Console stuff never gets fixed, ever. *cough* terrible fps in Bloodborne *cough*
And an awful framepacer that makes the fps look under 30 in the rare instances its able to maintain it. Fromsoft insist on jamming in particle effects that their target hardware cannot handle. Remember Seath the scaleless and blight town in ds1? 15fps ftw!
I've never played a ds game on console, but I know on pc that From's track record is beyond awful. The game runs like ♥♥♥♥, stutters, has broken netcode, and what do they do? Tweak weapon stats...
It's called glorious nip-coding. Almost every game made in nippon tends to have terrible performance or in general is just ugh, cause they can't code for ♥♥♥♥. I mean, just take a long hard look at the DS games. The heck is this multiplayer? Awful to non optimization, at times really dumb and or old ass mechanics (jumping in DS case, just, wew).
I still enjoyed ds2 and 3, but I refuse to play 1, cause oh lord is it garbage, even with the fanmade patch. Not story-wise mind you, just awful performance that makes it unplayable for me.
