I've read the other thread and I have notified the team of this issue.

You want to enjoy pvp without 1 sec freezes?
Easy fix:
1: Desinstall Dark Souls 3
2: Install Dark Souls 1
And, of course, only remove the item rather than straight-up banning them. BUT if it would keep happening, it should be assumed that they player in question is picking those modded items up fully knowing what they are, most likely asking a friend of theirs to mod the item/weapon for them.
A bunch of my friends have been banned not knowing why, some of them not even having picked up any items dropped by other players just in case, and they still get banned.
I'm just waiting for my turn.
Come on @Kimundi, we both know you guys can do better than this.
