are the gotthard twinswords overpowered or just really good?

run a quality/ faith build and the twinswords are amazing. The moveset is fast and has a lot of combo potential. It's just a really good weapon. Maybe too good... Idk, what are your thoughts?

The one time I saw them, they seemed really easy to parry. Not sure why people like them so much.

I think they are pretty good, but not that hard to deal with. Some of the initial attack of the L1 combo doesn't do a lot of damage per example and it's one handed swings are subpar compared to other swords.

Pretty good, but not TOO good imo.

I rarely lose to twinswords, only because I can out trade them with UGS, but if you get comboed into darkmoon twinblades... just drop the controller and cry

put Carthus Rouge on them and you will decimate in pvp assuming you got a decent luck stat and hollow gem. Takes like 2 hits not even kidding to bleed a player for a good 500-700dmg, combo that in a quick 4 hits and they are rekt

It scales b in both str and dex when you infuse it with a refined gem. RB has a regular long sword moveset, LB has a really fast heavy hitting moveset that can take some players by surprise. Sure, anyone who spams the bumpers are asking for a parry, but if one is thoughtful and knows what combos and what doesn't, it's pretty good.

on an l1 combo, I usually rack up 700-1100 depending on the armor of the other player. Oh, and I use Lightning blade as a buff, I'm sure that plays into it too.

yeah, but if you only the first of the combo per example, it doesn't do a lot. the weapon is also easy to avoid. the combo isn't that fast and leaves you vulnerable if you miss. the weapon is pretty fun to use, but it's hardly overpowered.
