Moonlight Greatsword.
Or very early in the game, potentially as early as the third Boss. If you kill Iudex Gundry (1st boss) then kill Emma in High Wall, triggering the Dancer fight (Second boss) you can then head into Lothric Castle and the Garden of the Consumed King, and fight Oceiros. Thankfully, Oceiros is (In my opinion) one of the easiest bosses for any patient Shield user.
Of course, you will still need to kill the Curse-Rotted Greatwood for the Transposing kiln.
According to my calculator, it ends up doing around 466 damage (phys and mag together) with minimum requirements and 50 intellect.
Seems like that might be worth using, especially with all of its thrusting attacks.
Lothric Knight Sword is also one of the most classy swords, along with having good scaling for Magical and Faith related infusions.
It's that 11 STR / 18 DEX requirement that keeps some of the full bore "efficient min/maxed" build people away from it when not planning on grabbing the MLGQ anyways.
Somewhat ironically when they turn around and suggest the Darksword anyways, which needs 16/15 STR/DEX, a larger investment for a sorcerer. But all they hear is "Darksword is great at spamming R1!" and their brains kind of shut off.
Use swordsman ect ect.
I don't think I can kill oceiros on my own tbh.
