Wow.
Now stack poise with hyperarmor where you can't interrupt any part of their animation, would that just be peachy ...
Hyperarmor alone means there is a window you can stagger them in. Poise stacked with hyperarmor doesn't afford you that option.
Let's say i'm using a UGS, if i swing at you and you dodgeroll through the initial attack and hit me at the right time, then i'm staggered. It's not like i can just whip out a second attack lightning fast and obliterate you.
"All ultra weapons can be staggered during the windup for their attacks."
That's not necessarily true. A lot of the "Adds Poise" abilities actually give you hyper armor frames. For example: The Talisman special ability, the Mace Special ability, Greatsword Stance attacks.
It says "Poise" and maybe it does mean poise (Perhaps this activates poise during the frames only?) so that effectively "Poise" means your hyper-armor frames. You can be stunned out of a hyper-armor attack, so it's not like you are totally unstunnable.
Not to mention Hyperarmour is actually somewhat unreliable. You don't know exactly at what point the hyperarmour starts, so using it consistently is tricky.
And it's really reasy to deal with people who just R1 spam, because it's super easy to predict those kinds of players and just roll through their attacks till they're out of stamina.
Learn your timing and range. And poise means " the legend never dies".
