Anor Londo in DS1 was sunless as well. And since they screw up with the timelines even more in DS3 it could be Anor Londo as well.

the moon would make no light if there was no sun in anor londo, and untended graves is more of an alternate dimension.

Gwyndolin created an illusion for complete Anor Londo. I think Aldritch, who absorbed him (at least that would explain why he looks like Gwyndolin), should be able to do that too.

I was thinking of ds3 anor londo, but yeah, that also might be the sunless realm, but that was the anor londo ages ago, i dont think sirris would be alive at that time.

you're probably looking at it too literally, im pretty sure by "sunless realm" they mean anor londo is "sunless" without gwyn and the other gods there anymore

As I said, DS3 screws around with the timelines big times.

Sunless could also mean "no sun at the moment". Weird Japanese translations.

I thought that only applied for summon signs, hence iron tarkus being dead in anor londo but you could summon him in dks1

No, not the ingame time lines, but the lore time lines.
There are items from DS2, which took place so many years after DS1 that the lands of DS1 and the names of gods had been forgotten. Suddenly in DS3 they remember them, Anor Londo is still there, Irythrill is where Eleum Loyce should be.
