What does the age of dark actually look like?
>inbefore duh it's dark hurr hurr

So far all Dark Souls games have taken place on the edge of transition to the age of fire to the age of dark. But what would a few centuries of dark age actually be like? Would there be any sunlight? Any intelligent life/civilizations? Any life at all? Would all humans just be hollow mindless zombies for a few centuries or would even the hollows die? And if nothing happens in that age of dark, how would the flame eventually lighten up again?

Isofar as I know, the untended graves area exists in an Age of Dark.

Although I still maintain that the "Age of Dark" is where Bloodbourne picks up. But hey, that's just me.

Nobody really knows, it appears barren from the outside but people are still alive.

For some reason they are implying that Humans are best suited for surviving that, since we have the Dark Soul. Humanity doesn't even corrupt us, it makes us stronger, more fit, etc.

No one really knows, and no one will ever have a definitive answer. The only lore you really get are little stories of characters, the rest is speculation.

Would be awesome if the DLC expands on the Age of Darkness, if it would let our character explore the world and search for answers.

So the perfect dlc would be dlc for each ending that let's us explore the aftermath.

Well, the dark ending of the game shows the world enveloped in such a thick darkness that you can not see anything, litterally. Light just doesn't exist in this.

You can actually see a little of Age of Darkness in Untended Graves. As Ludleth of Courland said after finding Firekeeper's Eyes: "The eyes show a world destitute of fire, a barren plane of endless darkness. A place born of betrayal." So yeah, it would be a world without a sun, where only mindless hollows and shells of the past (like Black Knights) would survive. I'm more interested in 3rd ending, what is happening after that and where the heck is Londor?

All I want is some kind of resolution for the crowns from ds2. I know it won't happen though :(.

^ Not true Placek, if you talk to the fire keeper after you give her the eyes she will say that despite the darkness there's still little flames here and there, it's not barren, it's just mindless speculation born out of fear of the unknown.

I would like a dark souls game that plays in the age of dark and where the goal is to relight the flame and start a new age of fire
