All the Lotheric knights at the high wall near the fat angel knight were all killed by him, I think.
but what about all the remaining Lothic knights? and why were irithyll invading lothric when their own place is getting messed up?
"Worship of the divine messengers was viewed as heresy in Lothric and unrecognized by any of the Three Pillars of rule.
This is believed to be why Gertrude, the Heavenly Daughter, was imprisoned in the lofty cell of the Grand Archives."
"The Queen's holy maiden Gertrude was visited by an angel, who revealed this tale to her.
Despite losing both her sight and voice, she was determined to record the tale. Ordinary men cannot decipher her fragmentary scrawl, nor comprehend how it became the foundation of the Angelic faith of Lothric."
There's also a painting of a winged knight in Lothric Castle, which I doubt would be there if those were their enemies.
Irithyll looks to be doing fine. Pontiff rules the place, his knights roam the streets, all's as the boss of the place wants it to be. Lothric seems to be in a whole lot more trouble.
Obviously Sulyvahn was losing it after witnessing the Profaned Flame or something similar. His "eye" rings indicate he's used a power that allowed him to warp the appearances of his knights as they fought, becoming animalistic. Then there's the entirety of the Cathedral of the Deep which became more sorcery based instead of faith and turned to the Deep and all the darkness that it brung. Same is seen with the evangelists, especially Dorhys, who turned mad with Gnawing. Then there's McDonnell and etc etc.
No idea about the knights that seem to have nothing in them.
isn't that to do with yhorm? didn't he link the fire in the hopes it would put out the profaned flames but something went wrong and the capital turned into essentially a massive fireball killing everyone?
I think Irithyll definitely does have some form of conflict with Lothrics, as we find outrider knights in Lotheric castle and grand archive. According to the left and right eye Rings, they are only given to outrider knights sent to foreign lands. I don't know if this means outright war. But I can't imagine both kingdoms being on good terms if Pontiff sent knights doomed to becoming mindless beasts to Lothric.
Still don't explain why all the armors are empty with no corpses...
*p.s when you arrive at Irithyll you see the phantoms of the 3 outrider knights being dispatched. They are all walking away from the city.
If I you guys have anything else to add please do so. Thanks again for your comments. Very interesting to read at work!
