Demon Soul didn't drop? (Spoilers)

The demon you fight with the onion bro dropped a demon soul for me in other playthru's but not on my latest character. I got a fire gem but no demon soul..I didn't consume the soul and I've checked the area where we fought. I charged him and onionbro got the last hit in..is that maybe why it didn't drop?

Hmm I coulda sworn it dropped a demon soul and I got the ring super early on my last playthru..

It's annoying because the transposition menu still shows as if you got the soul.

well to get deamon souls you need to go to a game store or amazon and buy a copy of the game and a ps3 if you dont have one and enjoy the game

but realy its a commen thing some times they drop other times they dont feel like it i think its a bug with the souls drop table

the demon you fight in the undead settlement does not drop a soul. the one in the catacombs/smouldering lake does. the transposition menu shows this (i'm assuming) because it's not an actual boss, but a mini-boss?

Different souls mate, one is soul of a demon, other is a soul of a stray demon.
