Game didn't got innovative
Demon Souls was innovative as hell, Dark Souls 1 design was innovative too, Dark Souls Dual Weild and PvP, but Dark Souls 3 didn't Innovate at all (Well, mad phantoms are fun).

The game is great, i'm having a blast with it, but it feels FromSoft didn't even tried to innovate.

It was so hard to make an arena against bosses?

You know, start with one random Boss, then one NG + Boss, then NG ++ Boss.. and goes on. After each boss refill your estus (or not).

Then give you a score. That would be great for the game, and comunity. The comunnity would start to do tournaments, or challenge " Arena only 2 handed challenge" "Arena only magic" "Arena only big maces".

It wasn't that hard FromSoft =/.

Still, the game is great and I keep playing it, but From could do awesome things with the game with few work.

Innovative?:steamfacepalm:Its a huge copypast. 65% BB reskin, 20% DS1, 10% Demon Souls, 5% for DS2 slivers = game complete.

Because I don't find the game innovative? Yah sure... specially when I said the game was good.

DS1 copy pasted a ton from DeS. DS2 copied a ton from both of them. Stop acting like this is new.

I agree that it's not very innovative, but that's what people wanted. People complained that DS2 tried too many new things and wasn't close enough to DS1. Now when they stay closer to the past games people aren't happy. From can never win.

you dont need many new features when you still got a lot of old ones to improve, which they actually did imho

By that I mean, in any Souls games there were always tons of things that managed to amaze me. DS3 was the first game that I walked through with total boredom, everywhere I was what I had already seen. They just made a shameless Frankestein out of all those games and stated "It's alive!". Its made of huge whole barely reskinned parts of the other Souls.

It doesn't have to be innovative in order for people to buy and enjoy the game.

It's time FROM moves on and tries a different genre and game mechanics. Cyberpunk perhaps? Anyway, DS3 is a solid conclusion to the series. Too much fanservice and not too much innovation, true, but it delivers on a acceptable basis. No successor in a series will be remembered as the first one. Think of Matrix. Who remembers part 2 and (sorry have to puke here) part 3? I wouldnt say Dark Souls has experienced such a let down in quality though.

Well with a new IP in the work they'll keep their ideas for the new game.
After all BB did mix up things a lot.

Problem is that people would cry all over the net if the game did actually change things considerably, it would be full of threads "this is not DS" "bring back x" "y is new and so broken" and the like.

It's hard af to make people happy, and if you take into account how much people are against change ... a new IP is the only way to innovate.

That make sense, after all, if i'm not wrong the game got like 10/10 score.

The game is great, but if you don't innovate the people get's bored of it. It's like the music, if an Artist do the same songs, critics will say "more of the same", but if the artist change too much, critics will say "It's like not listening "the X" anymore".

Still, an Arena for bosses, arena for PvP, and maybe random dungeons like Blood Borne woudn't hurt at all the game, and would be innovative in comparison of DS 1 and DS 2.

This game feels like a beter DS 1, like DS 2 never existed, and without BB dungeons.

I've played all the series, and this one looks really fast, I mean, the combat is agile and swift, inclusive even more than Bloodborne. And for that, is the only thing they implemented in the series.

BB dungeons were hated apparently so it makes sense they did not add them.
And many good things from DS2 were not brought over in this game, it could be some kind of weird culture thing or maybe a radical difference of opinions, I don't know.

Maybe the DLCs will add some of those things, still way early to know how the final product will end up being.

I like DS3, but the amount of useless ingame content amazes me(cast light)

And that's not even a merit, but a consequence for using the BB engine.

And in fact look at the poise ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and magic being compeltely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
