Dusk crown ring... Really dosent need to remove health.
All the str/dex/damage output, rings just give you the actual benifit of just wearing the ring without heavily punishing you.

I dont understand why the ring cant just reduce FP consumption by 25% without the added need to remove 20% of your health. Because if youve invested points into faith/int and then into atunement just to get some return from your spells, youll already be weak AF.

I have 440 HP, and when im summoned to help others, its far less than that! So in order to get some form of return from faith spells, and some more FP ( which you barely have any at all for offensive spells) you will basically have to sacrifice being one shotted by every single enemy, except arrows, which will remove over half of your health! lol

Of all the builds ive played, this is like playing dark souls on death march difficulty!

Yeah, the only reason it's taking off your health is that it did that in Dark Souls. Lore vs. balance and balance always seems to lose with FromSoftware.

Hyper-Mage is a Souls tradition at this point, sacrificing all of your HP for the ability to one-shot everything is the way to go. If anything, you need to go further, RTSR and Crown of Dusk too.

But it's just inertia at play again, yeah. Gimping yourself seems to be the way to mage in this one.

I'm no mage myself, but I do think maybe they should remove the 20% less health on that. After all, the Farron Ring does a similar thing for weapon arts and it doesn't cut your HP. The difference ofc, is that it's not very noticeable since Weapon Arts aren't as expensive in FP than the strongest spells.

Yeah, I only have a fart of health at the moment, losing more is too much! Dont even need to equip a health spell anyway, because I cant take a hit from AI! Unless its an arrow, or one dog bite.
Are you kidding me, why does it decrease health at all, when Farron Ring, Pontiff's Left and Right Eye and Lloyd's Sword ring exist with no DRAWBACKS? They already crapped on sorcery enough as it is, why not give us SOMETHING decent at least? Magic CLutch has enough of a bad effect as it is, and sorcery is pathetic already, sacrificing so much to deal less DPS and be less viable than a generic melee character.
