How to save Anri?

Some things say kill the pilgrim to save Anri, but others say don't if you want to marry Anri... Does they die if I marry them?

Marrying her involves...well, lets just say it's a totally different ending, and not the type of marriage you think. It's more of a marriage of power in a sense via Sigils (you take hers into your own being).

No matter what Anri will die. Even if you kill the Pilgrim. It'll just be later when you find her hollow and deal the blow yourself or leave her to rot away. That is pretty much always how the Souls Games go.

Anri has 3 possible endings (all bad): Horace kills Anri, you "marry", or turns hollow.

Anri dies no matter what. His / her best ending is arguable, though I'd say it's "marrying" him or her since that leads to the (again arguable) best game ending.

All these people talking about Anri dying but. Does Anri still die if you help them kill Aldrich?

They then pass their sword on to Ludleth and go on their way. I don't see how that infers they went hollow.

(They're in Smouldering Lake or Cathederal of the Deep after that happens)

he goes back to horace shrine (smoldering lake where he is first found) and there you have to fight him as he is hollow. You can also go earlier at the shrine as long as you tell him about smoldering lake when he stands near the bridge and you will find the shrine he builds for his friend, very sad story.

Where is she in the ending? All I see is a bunch of hollows kneeling before me. Unless you are insinuating that the voice belongs to her.

At 1:06 that might be her behind you to the right (your character's left) just behind the shirtless hollows.
