Is there a reason I should equip the cloth for it? I can get the same items for winning an invasion if I have any other cloth aside from mound makers and the sunlight one. I will also still look like a red without it.

No reason to wear it over Blades of the Darkmoon. With DM you might get summoned (lol) while not invading, otherwise you'll get red rewards while actively invading.

if you kill a blue phantom while invading as a rosaria finger, you'll get a "forked tongue" which will give you two pale tongues when you consume it.
that said, there really isn't much outside of roleplay, maybe? pale tongues are super easy to get anyway, without relying on po-po phantoms :P

Actually you get the forked tongue no matter what if you kill a blue phantom.
