Quality PvE Weapon
I'm SL50 with 28/28 in Str/Dex. No points into Int/Faith.
Looking to PvP at SL100+ knowing quality builds are the best all rounders

However I have to get those levels first.
So looking for a good PvE weapon that I can stick to that is obtainable early-mid game

I will be maintaining max. 2 ordinary PvE weapons with upgrades, excluding one boss/special weapon for twinkling titanites. At least one PvE weapon (the main one) that hopefully isn't slow so encounters will be more forgiving.

Currently using +3 Fire Longsword. Have the popular Dark Sword, Estoc and Zweihander (all stock atm). Tried Dark Sword and its moveset isn't as versatile as Longsword.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Fume is a strength weapon, it is A/E scaling.

Technically any normal weapon can be made quality through infusion. Just it loses significant base damage so in some cases not worth it.

Also I'd like to add the distinction between unique and boss weapons. Unique weapons from looting/npc invasions use Twinkling Titanite for upgrades. Boss weapons from boss souls use Titanite Scale for upgrades.

So basically I can 'groom' two special weapons apart from normal weapons. Wolf's Knight Greatsword looks promising in duelling those annoying shield knights. Though I worry about better UGS from the later bosses.

As for unique weapons, I know of the Sunlight Straight Sword I can get much later. However its going to be quite an investment to pour 7 into Faith just for one weapon.

It's not the build, it's how you use it. I'm wrecking the ♥♥♥♥ out of people with a pure strength build.

If your looking for a pretty good UGS that can be alright in Refined/Quality, use the Lothric Knight Greatsword It gets a C-C but not sure if it becomes B-B as I have not got it to +10 but the hefty lightning damage boost is quite good especially when theres no faith requirement however, it eats you stamina crazily although that could be due to me having about 12 END.

Wolf Knight Greatsword is C/C at +5 = Scales
But personally I love the Sunlight Straight Sword it is B/B at +5, can't be infused but can be buffed and it gives you a cheap Sacred Oath as it's weapon art = Twinkling

That is not a quality weapon, that is a strength weapon. Quality is balanced strength and dex.

Exile greatsword is a quality weapon, starts with d/d scaling upgrades with a refined gem goes to B/B scaling, it's a great quality weapon that I destroy pve and pvp with. R1 into a L2 R2 combo will usually kill a player outright. Plus you caneed infuse and buff it.

Just give that zweihander the raw infusion. It still lets you buff it as well, for maximum damage.

So far, Exile GS has been completely OP for me. All I have to do is tag a guy once with a 2H rolling/running R1, and I can combo as many hits as I have stamina to support. Between my quality build and random use of Pine Resins, I've yet to see anyone outlast 4 hits in a row.

The only weakness is to parries, the EGS R1 is just slow enough to reaction parry. But you can change up the swing timings on all 2H attacks, even the R1, by holding the attack button a little longer than normal. If I eat a riposte and survive, I just start doing that, though it does break combos.

Nope. Dead threads are best threads.

Zeihander very good stagger and dmg vs normal PvE enemies. The bosses in DS3 are quite fast overall, you better off with the claynore there

I'm loving the Wolf Knight Greatsword; the running attack is fast and fluid, and it has an AR of ~500 at 40/40. The weapon art R1 is great at clearing enemies around you, and the weapon art R2 makes me jizz every time I land it. Seriously, that slam does so much damage and knocks down enemies in the area. Also accompanied by a frontflip, making it more badass. For the Deacons fight (an easy fight anyway) I just completely destroyed everybody at once due to the massive AoE. IT'S JUST A ♥♥♥♥♥♥ GREAT WEAPON.

Bonus points if you use it 1h in your right hand with nothing in your left hand wearing wolf knight armour. Artorias all the way bb.

Try the Darksword +10 with a refined gem that will litterly make the game a cakewalk.
