I am doind a strength build and was wondering FUGS or Yhorms Great Machete?

FUGS is still worth it by far. Rolling R1 poke is still some of the fastest follow ups, and it has pretty good range to boot.

FUGS is also buffable so never forget that as well. I pop Deep Protection, Sacred Oath, and Lightning blade - Don't get poked.

Yhorms might out damage it and it hits slightly faster, but FUGS has the range and in this game you need some good range.

so you have 30 faith just for a buff?
by thee way Deep Protection and Sacret Oath are not weapon bufs you can use those on unbuffable weapons too....

for quality build FUGS just doesnt do enough damage and weak buff (item) would be just negated by constant damage reduction of the target, range is nice but the weight, like 10 more than similar weapons with highter base damage.

not sure about machete, i really don't like the moveset of it. damage is ok i suppose if you manage to hit something.

I would say its not worth it. High stat requirement, its heavy as hell and uses a lot of stamina and does less damage than most other ugs after nerf.

Incorrect on stamina usage. At 35 Endurance(40 with the Prisoners chain) I can nail a 3 hit combo with FUGS and have enough to roll away. With Yhorms it eats up all my stamina after 3 hits.

Yep Yhorm eats a looot of stamina...what i find good about Yhorm though is that its shockwave effect seems to be the biggest of all and even if you miss you might prevent your opponent from taking the advantage.

Aparently FROM thinks that FUGS is in good place while doing less damage than other ultras,eating much stamina,heaviest weapon and slow as hell. No reason at all to take it over Astora greatsword for example,it loses in every single aspect. I hope it will get its nerf reverted since the damage wasn't a problem im sure of it.

I have noticed that both are really great weapons, I actually did an entire playtrhough with the FUGS and found the rolling R1 to be amazing =)

want an UGS ? lothric knight great sword, higher AR than fugs, with a lightning buff it's at nearly 800 AR, could add in sacred oath to get near 900!

many people don't use it, but it's a hidden gem imo, like I said, crazy AR and refined it's a B/B scaler.

defiantly my go to weapon lately, I love the fume, but it's just not worth if in comparison.

also black Knight great sword is another, can't be buffed, but does good damage and has a nice moveset

I keep hearing about this weapon and I think the sword looks cool so Ill be using it on my quality build =)
